Meet Andrea Scarlett-Lozer, LL.B, LEC, LM&A


A seasoned commercial and intellectual property attorney with over 20 years of experience.

Andrea brings to Peridot Law a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success. Her strong legal and business acumen, coupled with exceptional technical abilities, makes her a formidable advocate for her clients. As a skillful negotiator with a strong network, Andrea is adept at handling cross-border commercial transactions and has a demonstrated history of assisting clients in achieving their strategic goals and legal milestones for projects and organizations.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Andrea started her career as an Associate at Myers, Fletcher & Gordon and was elevated to partnership in 2014. She later left and joined the law firm Levy Cheeks as a Partner. Andrea is now heading her own firm PERIDOT LAW where she will continue serving both local and international clients.

Sale of RBC shares to Sagicor Jamaica Limited; BMR Jamaica Wind Limited Loan of US$62,700,000 from IFC and OPIC (2014) & Refinancing (2021) – Jamaica’s largest renewable energy project to date; IDB, PROPARCO and other development finance institutions’ financing of Kingston Container Terminal Concession to Kingston Freeport Terminal Limited – a Public Private Partnership Project of the Government of Jamaica – Awarded North American Port Transaction of the Year (2016); Eight Rivers Energy Company Limited’s Power Purchase Agreement and Electricity Generation Licence; Argyle Industries Inc’s acquisition of Hardware & Lumber Limited (the island’s largest hardware business) and de-listing; Merger of Pure National Ice and Happy Ice – largest ice manufacturers in the English-speaking Caribbean; Acquisition of Advantage General Insurance Company by Sagicor Group and other investors; Project Financing for One Belmont – large commercial development in the City of Kingston; Project Finance & Sale of Luxury Villas at Palm Beach Development; Hardware & Lumber Limited Bond Issue – J$1Billion; Silversun Housing Development – Public Private Partnership Project; Sale of Jamaica Beverages Limited (in Liquidation) to Trade Winds Citrus Limited; Soleco Energy – development of private commercial renewable energy projects for large hotels and manufacturing companies.
